Piparo

Piparo is a village in Central Trinidad on the southern edge of the Central Range. The village has three main claims to fame: Piparo was the base of operations of Dole Chadee (born Nankissoon Boodram), a notorious drug lord who was executed in 1999 for the murder of four members of the Baboolal family. Piparo was the home of Ras Shorty I (born Garfield Blackman) after his retirement from the calypso world.

Hardbargain is a village in Central Trinidad on the southern edge of the Central Range. Bonne Aventure is a village in the county of Victoria, Trinidad. It is considered to be part of the larger town of Gasparillo. The surrounding villages or areas that are most populated are Mayo and Gasparillo. Other areas of concentration are alongside the main roads such as Light Bourne Trace, Cotton Hill Rd. and Caratal Rd.

Chickland

Chickland is a village in the foothills of Central Trinidad, north of the world renowned cocoa growing region Gran Couva and south-east of one of the earliest settlement areas for freed slaves Freeport. Chickland includes the Ajoupa Pottery works that produces intricate and colourful pieces including tables and vanity vases that appear in hotels and villas throughout T&T and the Caribbean.

Gasparillo

Gasparillo is a town in southern Trinidad. It lies east of Pointe-à-Pierre and northeast of San Fernando. The population is approximately 16,000. The name Gasparillo is applied not only Gasparillo proper, but also the surrounding communities including Bonne Aventure and Whiteland. Trinidadians do not use Spanish sounds when saying Gasparillo. Correct local pronunciation is "gas-PARR-uh-low. " Gasparillo owes much of its size to its proximity to the Petrotrin oil refinery at Pointe-à-Pierre.
