Gasparillo

Gasparillo is a town in southern Trinidad. It lies east of Pointe-à-Pierre and northeast of San Fernando. The population is approximately 16,000. The name Gasparillo is applied not only Gasparillo proper, but also the surrounding communities including Bonne Aventure and Whiteland. Trinidadians do not use Spanish sounds when saying Gasparillo. Correct local pronunciation is "gas-PARR-uh-low. " Gasparillo owes much of its size to its proximity to the Petrotrin oil refinery at Pointe-à-Pierre.

Manny Ramjohn Stadium

The Manny Ramjohn Stadium, located in Marabella, Trinidad and Tobago, is named for long-distance runner Manny Ramjohn, the first person to win a gold medal for Trinidad and Tobago in a major international sporting event. The stadium was constructed for the 2001 FIFA U-17 World Cup which was hosted by Trinidad and Tobago. The stadium is also commonly called "Mannie Ramjohn Stadium". It also hosted games from the 2010 FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup.

Marabella

Marabella is a former town in southern Trinidad, between San Fernando (to the south) and Pointe-à-Pierre (to the north). Originally a separate town, it was incorporated into the City of San Fernando in the 1990s. Marabella is home to the Manny Ramjohn Stadium, one of the four major stadia in Trinidad and Tobago. Nicknamed "The City That Never Sleeps," the city is always active as its nightlife of food vending and bars goes almost 24/7.

Iere Village

Iere Village is a small village in southern Trinidad, north west of Princes Town. Though small in size, the village is rich in history. It is the site of the first Presbyterian church, the first Islamic mosque and the first government funded school in Trinidad. The village is located on the Naparima Mayaro Road just outside Princes Town. The village's primary school, Iere Government Primary, has been rebuilt and located further up the road from its original location on Richmond.

Bonne Aventure is a village in the county of Victoria, Trinidad. It is considered to be part of the larger town of Gasparillo. The surrounding villages or areas that are most populated are Mayo and Gasparillo. Other areas of concentration are alongside the main roads such as Light Bourne Trace, Cotton Hill Rd. and Caratal Rd.
