Piparo

Piparo is a village in Central Trinidad on the southern edge of the Central Range. The village has three main claims to fame: Piparo was the base of operations of Dole Chadee (born Nankissoon Boodram), a notorious drug lord who was executed in 1999 for the murder of four members of the Baboolal family. Piparo was the home of Ras Shorty I (born Garfield Blackman) after his retirement from the calypso world.

Hardbargin

Hardbargain is a village in Central Trinidad on the southern edge of the Central Range. The village has : Hardbargain has a large Hindu Mandir called the Triveni Mandir aka the Sisters Road Hindu Temple. This establishment has been in existence since the 1960s, however the current majestic structure was officially opened in November 2002.

Princes Town

Princes Town is a town in south Trinidad (generally pronounced by Trinidadians as if it were spelled "Princess Town"). Originally founded as the Amerindian Mission of Savana Grande, the town was renamed after the 1880 visit by Queen Victoria's grandsons, Prince Albert and Prince George (later King George V). The Princes each planted a poui tree at the Anglican church in the area, which still survives to this day. The population of the town itself is roughly estimated at 10,000.

Iere Village

Iere Village is a small village in southern Trinidad, north west of Princes Town. Though small in size, the village is rich in history. It is the site of the first Presbyterian church, the first Islamic mosque and the first government funded school in Trinidad. The village is located on the Naparima Mayaro Road just outside Princes Town. The village's primary school, Iere Government Primary, has been rebuilt and located further up the road from its original location on Richmond.

Tamana caves

Tamana caves (or Tamana cave) is a cave system located on the northern slope of Mount Tamana in eastern Trinidad. Mount Tamana is a 307-metre flat topped hill of Miocene Guaracara Limestone of the Tamana Formation in the eastern Central Range. Julian Kenny described the main cave as consisting of 18 separate sections. He documented two chimneys and a "walk-in chamber".
