Thapsus

Thapsus or Thapsos (less commonly, Tapsus) was an ancient city in what is modern day Tunisia. Its ruins exist at Ras Dimas near Bekalta, approximately 200 km southeast of Carthage. Originally founded by Phoenicians, it served as a marketplace on the coast of the province Byzacena in Africa Propria. Thapsus was established near a salt lake on a point of land eighty stadia (14.8 km) from the island of Lampedusa.

Téboulba

Téboulba is a city in the Sahel region of Tunisia. It is located about 25 kilometers south of Monastir. It is part of the administrative governorate of Monastir, and is the county seat of the Delegation with the same name, which has a population of 31,154 people. Adam Hamza is the current mayor. As of August 2012, Hamza was relected mayor after campaining with the "nahtha" party.
