Nur Mountains

The Nur Mountains (Turkish: Nur Dağları, "Mountains of Holy Light"), also known as Gâvur Mountains, the ancient Amanus, is a mountain range in the Hatay Province of south-central Turkey, which runs roughly parallel to the Gulf of İskenderun. The range reaches a maximum elevation of 2,240 m and divides the coastal region of Cilicia from inland Syria. The highest peak is Bozdağ. A major pass through the mountains known as the Syrian Gates is located near the town of Belen.

Trapessac

Trapessac (Turkish: Darbı Sak Kalesi) is a medieval fortress located 4 km north of the town of Kırıkhan in Hatay Province, Turkey. Trapessac was constructed in the 11th century by the Knights Templar and, together with the nearby fortress at Bagras, guarded the Syrian Gates, the principal pass between the coastal region of Cilicia and inland Syria. The castle fell to Saladin in 1188 after a bitterly-fought, two-week siege.

Bekbele

Bekbele is a town in İskenderun district of Hatay Province, Turkey. It is situated mostly to the east of Çukurova Motorway at {{#invoke:Coordinates|coord}}{{#coordinates:36|37|N|36|14|E||| | |name= }}. It is almost merged to İskenderun. The distance to Antakya (the administraticve center of the province) is about 80 kilometres . The population of Bekbele is 7412 as of 2011.

Denizciler

Denizciler (literally "Seamen") is a town in İskenderun district of Hatay Province, Turkey. It is a coastal town situated on the east coast line of the Mediterranean Sea at {{#invoke:Coordinates|coord}}{{#coordinates:36|39|N|36|13|E||| | |name= }}. It is on Turkish state highway D.817 which connects İskenderun to north. The distance to İskenderun is 9 kilometres and to Antakya (province center) is 65 kilometres . The population is of Denizciler is 17154 as of 2011. Denizciler is a recent town.
