Turgutalp

Turgutalp is a town in Soma district of Manisa Province, Turkey. The distance to Manisa is 97 kilometres . The population is 9838 of 2011. Turgutalp was founded by Muslim people from present Bulgaria in 1877, during the Russo-Turkish War (1877-1878).

75th Anniversary Selatin Tunnel

75th Anniversary Selatin Tunnel (Turkish: 75. Yıl Selatin Tüneli), is a road tunnel constructed on the motorway O-31 E87 at the province border of Izmir and Aydın, western Turkey. It is situated 35 km northwest of Aydın and 80 km southeast of Izmir, between the junctions Belevi and Germencik. With its length of 3,043 m, it was the country's longest tunnel when opened on April 20, 2000.
