Hvizdets

Hvizdets is a town in the Kolomyia Raion of Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast of Ukraine. Chervonohorod

This defunct town should not be confused with the modern town of Chervonohrad. Chervonohorod or Chervone or "Red Town" (from the color of the earth) is a former town in Zalischyky Raion, Ternopil Oblast of Ukraine, that was part of the municipal district of Nyrkiv (Ни́рків) and the Dzhurin River, with its 16-meter-high waterfall, the highest in the country. It was chartered in 1434 and was the seat of a powiat in the Podole Voivodeship.

Sniatyn

For the eponymous town in Russia, see Ksnyatin Sniatyn is a city located in the Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast, in western Ukraine along the Prut river. It is the administrative center of the Sniatynsky Raion, and is located at around {{#invoke:Coordinates|coord}}{{#coordinates:48|27|0|N|25|34|0|E| |primary |name= }}. The current estimated population is around 10,500 (as of 2001). In the interbellum period, it was a rail border crossing between Poland and Romania.
