Maniava

Maniava or Manyava is located on the banks of Maniavka River in the Bogorodchany district, Ivano-Frankivsk province of Western Ukraine. Manyava Skete

Manyava Skete of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross, (transliterated often as Maniava or Manjava Skete) - otherwise known as Ukrainian Athos, is Orthodox solitary cell men´s monastery in the Carpathian mountains of western Ukraine. It is situated on the outskirts of the village of Maniava in Bohorodchany raion of Ivano-Frankivsk region and belongs to the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of Kyiv Patriarchate. Hegumen of the monastery is Ioasaf, metropolitan of Ivano-Frankivsk and Halych.

Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast

Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast is an oblast (region) in western Ukraine. Its administrative center is the city of Ivano-Frankivsk. As is the case with most other oblasts of Ukraine this region has the same name as its administrative center – which was renamed by the Soviets after the Ukrainian writer, nationalist and socialist Ivan Franko on November 9, 1962.

Bukovel

Bukovel is a ski- and spa-resort located in the Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast of western Ukraine. The resort is located almost on the ridge-lines of the Carpathian Mountains at elevation of 900 m above the sea level near the village of Polyanytsya. It is one of the most popular ski resort in the Ukrainian Carpathian Mountains and is situated 30 km southwest of the city of Yaremche.
