Marianivka (village)
Marianivka is a village in the Kiev Oblast of central Ukraine. Marianivka is known for being the birthplace of Ivan Kozlovsky. It has a music school built by him in 1970. Village Mar'yanivka was founded in the 12th century. The first inhabitants settled on the flow of the river Ros’ - Rotok. Vasylkiv (also Vasyl'kiv and Vasil'kov) is an interceptor aircraft base since the Cold War in Kiev Oblast, Ukraine located 7 km north of Vasylkiv. It is a medium-sized fighter base with numerous revetments. Units stationed at Vasylkiv include the 146th Guards Fighter Aviation Regiment (146 Gv IAP) flying 41 MiG-25PD (Foxbat) aircraft. The regiment arrived at the base in 1950.
