Sknyliv air show disaster

The Sknyliv air show disaster occurred on Saturday July 27, 2002, when a Ukrainian Air Force Sukhoi Su-27 of the Ukrainian Falcons crashed during an aerobatics presentation at Sknyliv airfield near Lviv, Ukraine. 77 people were killed and 543 injured, 100 of whom were hospitalised. It is the worst air show accident in history.

Lviv Danylo Halytskyi International Airport

Lviv International Airport or officially Lviv Danylo Halytskyi International Airport (Ukrainian: Міжнародний аеропорт «Львів» імені Данила Галицького) is an airport in Lviv, Ukraine. In 2010, the airport carried 481,900 passengers. The airport is located 6 kilometres from central Lviv. Facilities at the airport include a café and shop as well as bus services to the city. The airport is named after King Daniel of Galicia.

Janowska concentration camp

Janowska was a Nazi German labor, transit and concentration camp established September 1941 in occupied Poland on the outskirts of Lwów. The camp was labeled Janowska after the nearby street's name ulica Janowska, nowadays Shevchenka street - Ukrainian: Вулиця Шевченка.

Lviv railway station

The Main railway station (Ukrainian: Львівський залізничний вокзал) in Lviv, Ukraine, is one of the most notable pieces of Art Nouveau architecture in former Galicia. It was opened to the public in 1904, and celebrated its centennial anniversary on 26 March 2004. On a monthly basis, the terminal handles over 1.2 million passengers and moves 16 thousand tons of freight.
