Dobrovody is a village located within the Uman Raion (district) of the Cherkasy Oblast (province), Ukraine. Dobrovody is a 4th millennium BC site of the Cucuteni-Trypillian culture, with up to 10,000 citizens, and was one of the largest cities in the world in its day. The total area is about 2.5 km. It is the located in the Kremenets Raion, and is located 18 km south-west of Kremenets and 50 km north of the oblast capital, Ternopil. The current estimated population is around 8,200 (as of 2001). The city is known for the Pochayiv Lavra, the second largest Eastern Orthodox monastery in Ukraine.

Holy Dormition Pochayiv Lavra (Ukrainian: Свято-Успенська Почаївська Лавра; Russian: Свято-Успенская Почаевская Лавра) has for centuries been the foremost spiritual and ideological centre of various Orthodox denominations in Western Ukraine. The monastery tops a 60-metre hill in the town of Pochayiv, Ternopil Oblast, 18 km southwest of Kremenets and 50 km north of Ternopil.
