San (river)
The San is a river in southeastern Poland and western Ukraine, a tributary of the Vistula River, with a length of 433 km (it is the 6th-longest Polish river) and a basin area of 16,861 km (14,390 km of it in Poland). The San arises in the Carpathian Mountains near the village of Sianky, at an elevation of 900 metres, exactly on the Polish-Ukrainian border and on the continental watershed, and forms the border between Poland and Ukraine for approximately its first 50 km.

Sianki
Sianki is a former village in the administrative district of Gmina Lutowiska, within Bieszczady County, Subcarpathian Voivodeship, in south-eastern Poland, on the border with Ukraine. It lies approximately 30 kilometres south-east of Lutowiska, 51 km south-east of Ustrzyki Dolne, and 130 km south-east of the regional capital Rzeszów. On the Ukrainian side of the border is a still extant part of the village.

Sianky
Sianky is a village in Lviv Oblast, Ukraine on the San River. It is located a few kilometers from the border with Poland, in the south-eastern part of Bieszczady. During 966 - 1018, 1340 - 1772 and 1918 - 1939 Sianky was part of Poland, while during 1772 - 1918 it belonged to the Austrian empire (later Austrian-Hungarian empire when double monarchy was introduced in Austria).

Halicz (Bieszczady)
Halicz is a peak in the Bieszczady Mountains in southern Poland. Its height is 1,333 meters. It is one of the highest peaks in the mountain range and from its summit one can look out over the rest of the Bieszczady in both Poland and Ukraine.

Beniowa
Beniowa is a former village in the administrative district of Gmina Lutowiska, within Bieszczady County, Subcarpathian Voivodeship, in south-eastern Poland, close to the border with Ukraine. It lies approximately 25 kilometres south-east of Lutowiska, 46 km south-east of Ustrzyki Dolne, and 125 km south-east of the regional capital Rzeszów. The part of the village now in Ukraine, called Biniova, has a population of about 60.
