Barbon Beck

Barbon Beck is a small river in Cumbria. Rising at Weather Ling Hill, where it is known as Barkin Beck, the stream passes southwest down Barbondale to Fell House, where, joined by Aygill (itself fed by Hazel Sike, which, like Aygill, rises on Barbon High Fell) and now known as Barbon Beck, it takes a westerly course, past Barbon Manor and through the village of Barbon and under the A683 road.

Kirkby Lonsdale

Kirkby Lonsdale is a small town and civil parish in the South Lakeland district of Cumbria, England, on the River Lune. Historically within Westmorland, it is situated 13 miles south east of Kendal along the A65. The parish had a population of 1,771 recorded in the 2001 census. Notable buildings include St Mary's Church, a Norman structure with fine carved columns.

Leck Fell

Leck Fell is a Site of Special Scientific Interest in Lancashire. An area of typically heavily grazed open moorland of rough grass and remnant patches of heather with little or no tree cover, it is characterised by the virtual absence of surface drainage and an extensive subterranean drainage network resulting in cave systems and numerous sink holes. It surrounds the high point of Gragareth (627 metres) between Leck Beck and Kingsdale.

Rumbling Hole

Rumbling Hole is one of the many fenced-off sinkholes near the road on Leck Fell, Lancashire, England. The entrance shaft is approximately 50 metres deep and often has a small waterfall cascading down the side opposite the three trees that grow at the edge of the vertical shaft, one of which provides a convenient belay point for the entrance pitch.

Leck, Lancashire

Leck is a civil parish in the English county of Lancashire. The parish of Leck had a population of 189 recorded in the 2001 census, It is on the River Leck close to the main A65, 2 miles south east of the Cumbrian town of Kirkby Lonsdale. Administratively it forms part of the City of Lancaster, Lancaster itself being 18 miles away. The Church of St Peter was built in 1878-79 and burnt down in 1913, but was accurately re-built in 1915.
