Billinge and Winstanley Urban District
Billinge (from 1927 Billinge and Winstanley) was, from 1894 to 1974, a local government district in the administrative county of Lancashire, England. The Billinge urban district was created in 1894 by the Local Government Act 1894, consisting of the parishes of Billinge Chapel End, Billinge Higher End and Winstanley. The parishes were abolished in 1924 and the district was renamed Billinge and Winstanley on 5 May 1927.

Birchley Hall
Birchley Hall is a grade II* listed Elizabethan house built in about 1594, in Billinge, Merseyside, England. It is situated in postcode WN5 7QL. Birchley Hall was bought by Christopher Anderton of Lostock in about 1581. The present building was built by one son, James and extended by another son, Thurston in 1594. There is an inscription stone carved with 'TA 1594' on the front of the house, TA being attributed to Thurston.

Carr Mill Dam
Carr Mill Dam is situated north of St Helens town centre, on the A571 (Carr Mill Road), in Merseyside. It is the county's largest body of inland water, and offers picturesque lakeside trails and walks, as well as national competitive powerboating and angling events. It is home of Lancashire Powerboat Racing Club established in 1923 where club, national and international powerboat racing takes place.
