Kerris

It is three miles (5 km) southwest of Penzance in the civil parish of Paul. Kerris means "fort-place" in the Cornish language. Kerris has been a settlement for about two thousand years. Its oldest building, a former manor house, dates back to medieval times and there are two working farms in the settlement.

Wherrytown
Wherrytown is a small settlement in west Cornwall, United Kingdom, situated between Newlyn and Penzance on the east side of the Laregan River and now considered to be part of Penzance. The village bore the brunt of the Ash Wednesday storm on 7 March 1962 with most of the buildings destroyed along with nearly one mile of the seafront from the Battery Rocks to Tolcarne heavily damaged. The only Wherrytown building to survive was the Mount's Bay Inn, currently an Indian restaurant.
