Apethorpe Hall

Apethorpe Hall in Apethorpe, Northamptonshire, England is a Grade I listed country house, dating back to the 15th century. The house is built around three courtyards lying on an east-west axis and is approximately 120 feet by 240 feet in area. It is acknowledged as one of the finest Jacobean houses in England, and was the main seat of the Fane family, Earls of Westmorland.

Oundle and Thrapston Rural District

Oundle and Thrapston was a rural district in Northamptonshire, England from 1935 to 1974. It was formed in 1935 under the County Review Order as a merger of the Easton on the Hill Rural District, the Gretton Rural District, and the parts of the Oundle Rural District and the Thrapston Rural District which were in Northamptonshire. It was abolished in 1974 under the Local Government Act 1972 and now forms part of the East Northamptonshire district.

RAF Kings Cliffe

Royal Air Force Station Kings Cliffe or more simply RAF Kings Cliffe is a former Royal Air Force station located near Kings Cliffe, Northamptonshire, 12 miles west of Peterborough in Cambridgeshire. Originally the airfield was grass-surfaced but hard-surfaced runways and a perimeter track were laid down early in 1943.

Elton Hall

Elton Hall is a baronial hall in Elton, Cambridgeshire. It has been the ancestral home of the Proby family since 1660. The hall lies in an 3,800-acre estate through which the River Nene runs. The building incorporates 15th, 17th, 18th and 19th century parts. Elton Hall is two miles (3 km) from Fotheringhay Castle, where Mary, Queen of Scots was executed in 1587.
