Borth railway station

Borth railway station is a railway station on the Cambrian Line in mid-Wales, serving the village of Borth near Aberystwyth. The station, which originally had two platforms, is now an unmanned halt. The original station building still remains and is in private / commercial use apart from one room which provides a waiting room for passengers. The station has been adopted under the Arriva Trains Wales Station Adoption Scheme and has won a number of community awards.

A487 road

The A487 is a trunk road in Wales, running up the western side of the country from Haverfordwest in the south to Bangor in the north. It starts at a junction with the A40 in Haverfordwest, from where it travels north-west to St David's, then switches north-east through Fishguard, Cardigan, Aberaeron, Aberystwyth, Machynlleth and Corris. Through the town of Fishguard, the road width in places is a very narrow single lane, leading to many traffic issues, especially with HGVs.

Afon Clarach

The Afon Clarach (English: River Clarach) is a small river discharging into Cardigan Bay north of Aberystwyth. It flows through a largely agricultural and forested landscape except in its lowest reaches where its banks are crowded with holiday developments. The Clarach is formed at the confluence of the Afon Stewi and Nant Seilo at Penrhyncoch, with both their headwaters originating in low hills at the edge of the Plynlimon range.

Aberdovey railway station

Aberdovey railway station serves the seaside resort of Aberdyfi in Gwynedd, Wales. The station is on the Cambrian Coast Railway with passenger services every 2 hours (weekday daytimes) calling at all stations between Machynlleth and Pwllheli, including Tywyn, Barmouth, Harlech and Porthmadog. Passengers can connect at Machynlleth for trains to Aberystwyth or Shrewsbury, Wolverhampton and Birmingham New Street.
