Solar Energy Generating Systems

Solar Energy Generating Systems (SEGS) in California, at 354 megawatts (MW, 474,700 hp), is the largest solar thermal energy generating facility in the world. It consists of nine solar power plants in California's Mojave Desert, where insolation is among the best available in the United States. SEGS I–II (44 MW) are located at Daggett, SEGS III–VII (150 MW) are installed at Kramer Junction, and SEGS VIII–IX (160 MW) are placed at Harper Lake .

CACTUS

A cactus is a member of the plant family Cactaceae, within the order Caryophyllales. The word "cactus" derives, through Latin, from the Ancient Greek κάκτος (kaktos), a name originally used for a spiny plant whose identity is not certain. Barstow-Daggett Airport

Barstow-Daggett Airport is a county-owned public-use airport in San Bernardino County, California, United States. It is located four nautical miles (7 km) east of the central business district of the town of Daggett, and 12 nautical miles east of the city of Barstow. Built in 1933, it is the oldest of the six airports operated by San Bernardino County.
