Madera (Amtrak station)

Madera is an unstaffed station on the Amtrak San Joaquin line in Madera, California. The station has one platform which serves a single track. An unattended parking lot is available at the station, but long-term parking is discouraged. In August 2010, ground was broken on a new station located approximately 3 miles north of the City of Madera. Grand opening of the new Amtrak station took place on November 4, 2010.

Madera is a city in and the county seat of Madera County, California, United States. It is a principal city of the Madera–Chowchilla Metropolitan Statistical Area, which encompasses all of Madera County, and Metropolitan Fresno. It is located in California's San Joaquin Valley. As of the 2010 census, the city's population was 61,416, up from 43,207 at the 2000 census. The City of Madera is home to the Madera Unified School District.
