Sky Valley, Georgia

Sky Valley is a town in Rabun County, Georgia, United States and is nestled in a scenic mountain valley on the northwest slopes of Rabun Bald, Georgia's second-highest peak. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 250. Since 1971, it is home to Sky Valley Resort, which features golfing, tennis and swimming. The resort used to have the only winter ski area in Georgia, but after changing ownership in 2004, the resort's ski slopes were permanently closed http://www. slopequest.

Estatoah Falls

Estatoah Falls are located on Mud Creek in Rabun County, Georgia. The falls are located on private property and are not open to the public. The falls may be viewed from several places along State Route 246. There are also some smaller falls (about 100 feet) near Sky Valley, Georgia called Little Estatoah Falls or Mud Creek falls. Estatoah Falls drop several hundred feet in several dramatic cascades. The name of the falls is from the name of a Cherokee Indian village.

Scaly Mountain, North Carolina

Scaly Mountain is a small unincorporated community along North Carolina highway 106, southwest of Highlands, North Carolina and northeast of Dillard, Georgia (about halfway between the two), and nearest to Sky Valley, Georgia just to the south-southwest. It is in far south-southeast Macon County, North Carolina, in far southwestern Highlands township, close to the Georgia and North Carolina state line.

Flat Top (Georgia mountain)

Flat Top, with an elevation of 4,142 feet, is the 20th-highest peak in Georgia. It is located in Rabun County, Georgia and is within the boundaries of the Chattahoochee National Forest. There is a view of the rock face of Flat Top from the Bartram Trail.
