Central City, Kentucky

Central City is a city in Muhlenberg County, Kentucky, United States. The population was 5,893 at the 2000 census. It is also the largest city in the county and the principal community in the Central City Micropolitan Statistical Area which includes all of Muhlenberg County and the communities within it. The city grew up around a junction of old wagon trails that went north and south. These trails soon become roads and with roads, railroads came as well.

South Carrollton, Kentucky

South Carrollton is a city in Muhlenberg County, Kentucky, United States. The population was 184 at the 2000 census. Founded as Randolph Old Farm in 1838, an early pioneer changed the name of the city to honor his son, Carroll.

Paradise, Kentucky

Paradise was a small town in Muhlenberg County, Kentucky, United States. The town was located 10.5 miles east-north-east of Greenville and was formerly called Stom's Landing (sometimes incorrectly spelled Stum). It was once a trading post along the Green River, but it no longer exists. It was torn down in 1967 by the Tennessee Valley Authority due to health concerns over coal-burning electric plant, Paradise Fossil Plant.
