Matchwood Township, Michigan

Matchwood Township is a civil township of Ontonagon County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 115 at the 2000 census. The tiny unincorporated community of Matchwood is at {{#invoke:Coordinates|coord}}{{#coordinates:46|33|23|N|89|23|47|W|region:US-MI_type:city_scale:30000_source:GNIS | |name=Matchwood }} on M-28 about 6 miles west of Ewen and 9 miles east of Bergland. Lake Gogebic

Lake Gogebic is the largest lake of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. It is located within the 1 million acre (4,000 km²) Ottawa National Forest. Lake Gogebic State Park is located along its western shore. It is in the far western end of the Upper Peninsula, close to the Wisconsin Border, and in parts of two counties, Gogebic County and Ontonagon County. The lake is also in two time zones, central and eastern.
