Patrick, Nevada

Patrick is an unincorporated community which was the site of a historic ranch. The founder of the ranch, Patrick McCarran, arrived in Nevada in 1858 as a member of the United States Army under General Winfield Scott Hancock. In 1862 McCarran claimed 2600 acres of land that would become McCarran Ranch and the unincorporated community of Patrick. Patrick's son, Pat McCarran, would go on to become Nevada's first native born U.S. Senator and a staunch anti communist.

Wild Horse Adult Resort & Spa

The Wild Horse Adult Resort and Spa is an adult entertainment complex about 14 miles east of Reno, Nevada, USA that is home to two separate legal, licensed brothels: the Wild Horse Ranch and the Mustang Ranch. The property is located in a secluded portion of the Patrick Business Park, in the far northern portion of Storey County, at 1000 Wild Horse Canyon Drive, Sparks, NV 89434. Primary access to the area is via exit 28 off Interstate 80.

Mustang Ranch

The Mustang Ranch, originally known as the Mustang Bridge Ranch, is a brothel in Storey County, Nevada, about 15 miles east of Reno. It is currently located at 1011 Wild Horse Canyon Dr Sparks, NV 89434. Under owner Joe Conforte, it became Nevada's first licensed brothel in 1971, eventually leading to the legalization of brothel prostitution in 10 of 17 counties in the state. It became Nevada's largest brothel with 166 acres, and the most profitable.

Virginia Range

The Virginia Range is a Nevada mountain range mostly within Storey, but extending into Lyon County on the east. It forms a portion of the drainage divide between the Truckee River (north) and the Carson River (south). Truckee Meadows and the Washoe Valley are to the west and the Lahontan Valley is east. Jeffrey Pine is the dominant species as the generally southwest-northeast range has unusual mostly acidic soils.
