Ellis Unit

O. B. Ellis Unit (E1, previously Ellis I Unit) is a Texas Department of Criminal Justice prison located in unincorporated Walker County, Texas, 12 miles north of Huntsville. The unit, with about 11,427 square feet of space, now houses up to 2,400 male prisoners. Ellis is situated in a wooded area shared with the Estelle Unit, which is located 3 miles away from Ellis.

Glendale, Texas

Glendale, also known as Bissell, is a town 11 miles from Groveton on Highway 94 in Trinity County, Texas. In 1886, the population grew to 100. The next year, the town had a post office under the name Bissell. During the 1890's Settlers from Illinois and Missouri remamed the town to Glendale. The town exploded after a peach farm was established there, and by 1899, over 1200 residents lived in Glendale. A hotel, several churches, a school, and even a newspaper was there by 1898.

Riverside, Texas

Riverside is a small city in Walker County, Texas, United States. The population was 510 at the 2010 census. Two famous natives of Riverside are singer-actress Jennifer Holliday (born 1960), best known for her creation of the role of Effie in the successful Tony-award winning Broadway musical "Dreamgirls"; and Eugene C. Barker, Texas historian (born 1874).

Camp Olympia is an overnight summer camp located in Trinity, Texas, for children and teens ages 7–16 years who enjoy participating in various sports, outdoor activities, and water activities. Campers have the choice of attending a two week term (Terms 1 & 4) or a three week term (Terms 2 & 3), or even multiple terms if they would like.
