Sorghumville, Texas

Sorghumville was a rural community in Houston County, Texas. It was on FM 230 and founded around 1900. In the 1930s Sorghumville consisted of a church and a number of houses. Children attended school in nearby Prairie Point (but later Consolidated with Lovelady). After World War II, many people moved away, and by the 1990s Sorghumville became dispersed.

Prairie Point, Houston County, Texas

Prairie Point is a ghost town in Houston County, Texas, United States. It is located on FM 230. It was established around 1850. A post office was there from 1857–1872. A school was established before 1897, when it had an enrollment of 57. In the 1930s Prairie Point had a church, school, and a number of houses. After World War II, the School consolidated with Lovelady. There are no recent population estimates.

Sand Ridge, Houston County, Texas

Sand Ridge is an unincorporated community in Houston County, Texas, United States. It is located on Texas-21 about 20 miles from Crockett. It is unknown when it was settled, but it is believed it was before 1900. In the 1930s it had a school, several businesses, and some houses. However, by 1990 it became a dispersed community. Any residents who live there are within the Lovelady ISD.
