Khalchayan
Khalchayan (also Khaltchaïan) is an archaeological site, thought to be a small palace or a reception hall, located near the modern town of Denov in Surxondaryo Province of southern Uzbekistan. It is located in the valley of the Surkhan Darya, a northern tributary of the Oxus. The site is usually attributed to the early Kushans, or their ancestors the Yuezhi. It was excavated by Galina Pugachenkova between 1959 and 1963.

It is the location of Hellenistic constructions made during the time of the Greco-Bactrians, perhaps a small fortress. In the first century BC it grew to a substantial city. The place flourished especially under the Kushan Empire.

Sariosiyo District
Sariosiyo district or Sariosiyo tumani is a district in Surxondaryo Province, Uzbekistan. Its capital is the town of Sariosiyo. Sariosiyo district was founded on September 29, 1926. It was added to Denau district on December 24, 1962 and reconstituted on February 22, 1964. Total area is 3,930 sq. kilometer. Population is 180,500 (1996 statistics). There is one city and one town (Sariosiyo) in the district. The center of Sariosiyo district is 180 km north of the provincial capital Termiz.
