1875 Cúcuta earthquake

The Earthquake of Cúcuta also known as Earthquake of the Andes was an earthquake that occurred on 18 May 1875 at 11:15 AM. It completely demolished Cúcuta, Villa del Rosario, San Antonio del Tachira and Capacho. The earthquake killed many Venezuelans in San Cristóbal, La Mulata, Rubio, Michelena, La Grita, Colón, amongst others, and was felt in both Bogotá and Caracas.

House of Santander

The House of Santander is the place where the hero of the Colombian independence Francisco de Paula Santander lived his first 13 years. It's in the locality of Villa del Rosario, in the 6th km of the International Highway to Venezuela. Now it is a museum that contains many possessions of Santander, including his uniform and swords.

Camilo Daza International Airport (Spanish: Aeropuerto Internacional Camilo Daza) is a civil airport located in Cúcuta, Colombia. The airport serves the Norte de Santander Department (Spanish: North Santander State). The airport contains international facilities and is able to operate general aviation flights to international destinations. This air terminal is located 5 km from the center of the city, about 15 minutes of the Pan American Highway (Sevilla).
