MORWA LOCATION Morwa is a village in Botswana which lies 30km north of the capital Gaborone. The village is linked to the capital by a dual carriageway and connected to the national electricity grid. A seasonal Metsimotlhabe River runs south of the village. This river flows into Bokaa Dam which supplies both Bokaa, Morwa and Gaborone.

Metsimotlhabe River

The Metsimotlhabe River is the largest river in the Kweneng District of Botswana, draining the area that lies to the south of Molepolole into the Notwane River, in turn a tributary of the Limpopo River. {{#invoke:Footnotes|sfn}} The name "Metsimotlhabe" means "water sand river". {{#invoke:Footnotes|sfn}} The Bokaa Dam was built in 1990/1991 by damming the Metsimotlhabe River just south of Bokaa village.
