Itapira

Itapira is a municipality in the state of São Paulo in Brazil. Its population in 2010 was 68,365 and the area is 518.89 km². The elevation is 643 m. Founded around 1820, the name Itapira (meaning Stone Fish in the Tupi language) was officially adopted in 1890 . The current mayor is José Natalino Paganini, an ex-footballer.

Mogi-Guaçu Biological Reserve

Mogi-Guaçu Biological Reserve is a biological reserve located in the State of São Paulo, Brazil. Created by State Law nº. 12.500 de 1942, it has an area of 469 ha. The eastern Brazilian primate C. p. Nigrifons occurs in the Mogi-Guaçu Experimental Station which has about two or three groups of primates.
