Osenovo, Blagoevgrad Province

Osenovo is a village (село) in southwestern Bulgaria, located in the Bansko Municipality of the Blagoevgrad Province in the western part of Rhodope Mountains. It is situated on the slope of a small river valley 21 kilometers southeast of Bansko and 59 kilometers southeast of Blagoevgrad. The village can be accessed by a steep paved mountainous road from the village of Mesta via Filipovo. The road passes by an interesting rock formation named "The Wedding".

Ribnovo

Ribnovo is an isolated mountainous village in the municipality of Garmen, in Blagoevgrad Province, Bulgaria. It is situated in the Dabrash part of the Rhodope Mountains at 1152 meters altitude, 14 kilometers north-northwest from Garmen and 64 kilometers southeast of Blagoevgrad by air. The village can be reached by a 20 kilometers asphalt mountainous road from Ognyanovo through the villages Skrebatno and Osikovo.

Gostun, Bulgaria

Gostun is a village (село) in southwestern Bulgaria, located in the Bansko Municipality (Община Банско) of the Blagoevgrad Province (област Благоевград). It is located on the eastern slopes of the Rhodope Mountains, east of Mesta river 17 kilometers southeast of Bansko, 54 kilometers southeast of Blagoevgrad and 103 kilometers southeast of Sofia. Gostun is the birthplace of Ivan Lebanov - the first Bulgarian to win a Winter Olympic medal in 1980.

Sarnitsa

Sarnitsa (also transcribed Surnica, Bulgarian: Сърница) is a small town in the Pazardzhik Province, southern Bulgaria. As of 2006 it has 3 607 inhabitants. It gained its town status in 16 September 2003 and is part of the Velingrad municipality, located deep in the Rhodope mountains among remote virgin forests. The town has preserved its authentic atmosphere and old architecture and is a growing tourist centre, serving visitors of the Dospat Dam and surrounding forests.
