Valchitran

Valchitran is a village in Pleven Province, central northern Bulgaria. Established by Thracians in 458, one of the most famous Thracian treasures in Bulgaria— the Valchitran treasure— was discovered by villagers while working on their farm. Valchitran has Nikita Khrushchev as an honorary citizen. Khrushchev was on his way to Sofia in a plane, when the plane experienced technical difficulties and had to land in Kamenetz, a small town nearby which had a military airfield.

Kakrina

Kakrina is a village in central northern Bulgaria, part of Lovech Municipality, Lovech Province. It lies in the central Fore-Balkan Mountains, at an altitude of 465 metres . As of 2008, it has a population of 298. Kakrina is mainly famous as the site of the Kakrina Inn (Къкринско ханче, Kakrinsko hanche) where national hero Vasil Levski was captured by the Ottoman government in 1872. The inn is today a museum and one of the official 100 Tourist Sites of Bulgaria.

Lovech Stadium

Lovech Stadium is a football stadium in Lovech, Bulgaria. It is currently used for football matches and is the home ground of PFC Litex Lovech. The stadium has more than 8100 seats. On July 12, 2010, the venue received a 3-star rating by UEFA and currently meets the UEFA guidelines to host Champions League and Europa League matches. The record attendance of the stadium was achieved at the game between Levski Sofia and Litex Lovech in 2001 - 12,500 spectators.

Grivitsa

Grivitsa (also transliterated as Grivitza or Grivica) is a village in Pleven Municipality, Pleven Province, central northern Bulgaria. It is primarily known as the site of one of the key battles of the Russo-Turkish War of 1877–1878.
