Valchitran

Valchitran is a village in Pleven Province, central northern Bulgaria. Established by Thracians in 458, one of the most famous Thracian treasures in Bulgaria— the Valchitran treasure— was discovered by villagers while working on their farm. Valchitran has Nikita Khrushchev as an honorary citizen. Khrushchev was on his way to Sofia in a plane, when the plane experienced technical difficulties and had to land in Kamenetz, a small town nearby which had a military airfield.

Slavyanovo

Slavyanovo is a town in the Pleven Municipality of the Pleven Province. It lies in the Middle Danubian Plain, to the north-northeast of Pleven. As of December 2009, it has a population of 4,422 inhabitants and the mayor is Asen Bachev. The town is located at {{#invoke:Coordinates|coord}}{{#coordinates:43|28|N|24|52|E||| | |name= }}, 114 metres above sea level. Slavyanovo's old name is Turski Trastenik (Турски Тръстеник) and it existed in the middle of the 18th century.

Grivitsa
