Valchitran
Valchitran is a village in Pleven Province, central northern Bulgaria. Established by Thracians in 458, one of the most famous Thracian treasures in Bulgaria— the Valchitran treasure— was discovered by villagers while working on their farm. Valchitran has Nikita Khrushchev as an honorary citizen. Khrushchev was on his way to Sofia in a plane, when the plane experienced technical difficulties and had to land in Kamenetz, a small town nearby which had a military airfield.

Kakrina
Kakrina is a village in central northern Bulgaria, part of Lovech Municipality, Lovech Province. It lies in the central Fore-Balkan Mountains, at an altitude of 465 metres . Kakrina is mainly famous as the site of the Kakrina Inn (Къкринско ханче, Kakrinsko hanche) where national hero Vasil Levski was captured by the Ottoman government in 1872.
