Plana Mountain
Plana is a mountain in western Bulgaria, bounded by Sofia Valley to the north, Iskar River to the east, Samokov Valley to the south and southwest, and Vitosha Mountain to the northwest. The summit Manastirishte is rising to 1338 m. Plana hosts Peyuva Buka Chalet, the mountain refuges of Ray (‘Paradise’) and Savo, and the Kokalyane Monastery founded by Tsar Samuil of Bulgaria. The homonymous village of Plana is the sole settlement situated in the interior of the mountain.

Pasarel Reservoir
The Pasarel dam and reservoir is located 20 km to the southeast of Sofia, Bulgaria at an altitude of 700 m. The dam is in the Iskar river, just downstream of Dolni Pasarel village. Pasarel dam is not large (about 1.5 km long and 300 m wide), but still attracts visitors to the area. Near to the Pasarel dam, in the village of Dolni Pasarel, is located the "St. Peter and Pavel" monastery.

Pancharevo
Pancharevo is a suburban district located in the south-eastern parts of the Capital Municipality. As of 2006 it has 26,000 inhabitants. It is the largest region in Sofia with total area of 364,7 km². It includes the largest artificial lake in Bulgaria, the Iskar Dam as well as Lake Pancharevo and Pasarel Reservoir. The districts consists of 10 villages, and Pancharevo is the municipal seat: The districts offers excellent conditions for relax and tourism for the citizens of the capital.

Golyam Kupen
Golyam Kupen is a peak rising to 1,930 m in Vitosha Mountain, Bulgaria. The peak is situated on the southern border of Bistrishko Branishte Biosphere Reserve, on the watershed between Vitoshka Bistritsa to the north and Selska Reka (‘Village River’) to the south, rivers flowing eastwards to the villages of Bistritsa and Zheleznitsa respectively, and eventually to Iskar River.

Vitoshka Bistritsa
Bistritsa or Vitoshka Bistritsa (Bulgarian: Бистрица; Витошка Бистрица; Бистришка река), is a river in western Bulgaria, tributary of Iskar River. Flows from the eastern slopes of Golyam Rezen Peak on Vitosha Mountain, crossing Bistrishko Branishte Nature Reserve, where it forms a small but beautiful waterfall Samokovishteto, then crossing villages of Bistritsa and Pancharevo to flow into Lake Pancharevo, near Sofia.
