Resen, Bulgaria
Resen is a large village in Bulgaria, located about 20 kilometers north of the university town of Veliko Tarnovo, just south of the River Rositsa. Resen has a few local bars, shops and a typical Bulgarian restaurant. In summer 2007 the village centre underwent extensive improvements, including a children's play area, a supermarket, and a church. The village is served with broadband Internet access via a wireless network from the village Post Office, and also now available is wired internet.

European route E772 is a class B road, part of the International E-road network in Bulgaria. The Transfiguration Monastery (Bulgarian: Преображенски манастир, Preobrazhenski manastir) or the Monastery of the Holy Transfiguration of God (манастир "Свето Преображение Господне", manastir "Sveto Preobrazhenie Gospodne") is an Eastern Orthodox monastery located in the Dervent gorge of the Yantra River. It lies near the village of Samovodene, seven kilometres north of Veliko Tarnovo, in central northern Bulgaria. It is one of the five stauropegic monasteries of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church.
