Gramada, Bulgaria
Gramada is a town in northwestern Bulgaria, part of Vidin Province. It is the administrative centre of the homonymous Gramada Municipality, which lies in the central part of Vidin Province. Castra Martis
Castra Martis was a Roman fortress in the Roman province of Dacia ripensis on the modern site of Kula, in Vidin Province in Bulgaria. It used to protect the road through Vrashka Chuka pass in the western Balkan mountains. In 408, the Huns under Uldin took control of the site during an attack on the Eastern Roman Empire, apparently by treachery. Castra Martis Hill on Livingston Island, in the South Shetland Islands, West Antarctica, is named after it.
