The municipality is named after its seat, the village of Vratišinec, located around 11 kilometres north of Čakovec, the county seat of Međimurje County. The municipality also includes the village of Gornji Kraljevec and the hamlet of Remis, located between Gornji Kraljevec and Sivica. In the 2001 census, the population of the village of Vratišinec was 1,524, while the population of the entire municipality was 2,213.

Dekanovec
Dekanovec is a village and municipality in Međimurje County, Croatia. Dekanovec is the only village in the municipality. It is located between Podturen and Domašinec, around 14 kilometres north-east of Čakovec, the seat and largest city of Međimurje County. The Mura River and borders with both Hungary and Slovenia are also close to the village. In the 2011 census, the village was populated by 854 people.

Feštetić Castle
Feštetić Castle (Croatian: Dvorac Feštetić or Kaštel Feštetić) is a castle in Pribislavec, a village next to the town of Čakovec, northern Croatia. It was built most probably in the 16th century and owned by the members of the Zrinski family almost till the end of the 17th century. The name of the castle comes from the Croato-Hungarian Feštetić family, who possessed it from 1791 until 1923.
