Amathus

Amathus was one of the most ancient royal cities of Cyprus, on the southern coast in front of Agios Tychonas, about 24 miles west of Larnaca and 6 miles east of Limassol. Its ancient cult of Aphrodite was the most important, after Paphos, in Cyprus, her homeland, though the ruins of Amathus are less well-preserved than neighboring Kourion.

Klimonas

Klimonas is an archaeological site dating to the 9th millennium BC. Discovered in Cyprus at Ayios Tychonas in the Limassol District, Klimonas is the oldest known farming village in the Mediterranean. The main part of the site is a subterranean circular building approximately ten metres (~40 feet) in diameter similar to communal buildings in other nearby sites. Wild boar was hunted and cereals were obtained from the Levant, as well as cats and domesticated dogs.

Evangelos Florakis Naval Base

The Evangelos Florakis Naval Base (Greek: Ναυτική Βάση «Ευάγγελος Φλωράκης») is a Cyprus Navy base, situated on the island's southern coast adjacent to the Vasilikos industrial area and power plant, near Zygi, between Limassol and Larnaca. Prior to 11 July 2011, it was the main location of the Command of the Navy Base, one of the five primary commands (also referred to as sub-commands) of the Navy.

Tenta, Cyprus

Tenta, also known as Kalavasos-Tenta, is a neolithic settlement in Cyprus, 4 km south of Kalavasos in the Larnaca District. It was discovered in 1947 by Pophyrios Dikaios.

Akrotiri Bay

Akrotiri Bay (Greek: Κόλπος Ακρωτηρίου, Kolpos Akrotiriou; Turkish: Limasol Körfezi) is a part of the Mediterranean Sea east of the Akrotiri Peninsula on the southern coast of the island of Cyprus. The Western Sovereign Base Area of Akrotiri and Dhekelia, a British Overseas Territory, administered as a Sovereign Base Area, borders the bay. The city of Limassol is also located on the bay. The southern end of the bay is formed by Cape Gata.
