Brøckhouse Brewery
Brøckhouse was a Danish micro brewery, located in Hillerød that was founded in 1995 by brewer Allan Poulsen. It reached a peak production capacity of 500.000 litres per year. The brewery specialised in brewing beers that was influenced by beers based on Danish history. Among others the Esrum Abbey Ale with inspiration from beer brewed in the Danish Esrum Abbey which was released in the autumn of 2004.

Frederiksborg Palace
Frederiksborg Palace or Frederiksborg Castle is a palace in Hillerød, Denmark. It was built as a royal residence for King Christian IV and is now a museum of national history. The current edifice replaced a previous castle erected by Frederick II and is the largest Renaissance palace in Scandinavia. The palace is located on three small islands in the middle of Palace Lake (Slotsøen) and is adjoined by a large formal garden in the Baroque style.

Nødebo Church is the oldest church in the northern part of the Danish island of Zealand. Located in the village of Nødebo on the south-western shore of Lake Esrum, 5 km north of Hillerød and 40 km north of Copenhagen, it is particularly known for its church frescos and its early 16th century altarpiece.
