Givskud
Givskud is a little town in southern Jutland with a population of 595 (1 January 2011). The town is located in Vejle Municipality in the Region of Southern Denmark. Other than Givskud Church it consisted of only a few farms, a school and a rectory in the 19th century. Later an inn was built. It was not until 1969 that the village really came into public attention.

Givskud Zoo
Givskud Zoo is a zoo and safari park in Givskud, 20 kilometres north west of Vejle in Denmark. The park opened in 1969 under the name of "Løveparken" (the lion park) with lions as the only animals. In 1970 elephants arrived and today the park has more than 700 animals representing more than 70 species. The zoo is one of only ten attractions to be awarded 5 stars by the Danish tourist guide Jyllands Attraktioner and receives about 325,000 visitors a year.

Jelling stone ship
The Jelling stone ship is a stone ship, the longest known to have existed, remains of which lie under the two royal barrows at Jelling, Denmark. The Jelling ship was formerly thought to have extended between the two mounds and been 170 metres long, by far the longest stone ship discovered.

Jelling stones
The Jelling stones are massive carved runestones from the 10th century, found at the town of Jelling in Denmark. The older of the two Jelling stones was raised by King Gorm the Old in memory of his wife Thyra. The larger of the two stones was raised by King Gorm's son, Harald Bluetooth in memory of his parents, celebrating his conquest of Denmark and Norway, and his conversion of the Danes to Christianity. The runic inscriptions on these stones are considered the most well known in Denmark.
