Gammel Estrup Manor
Gammel Estrup Manor is found east of Randers City in Denmark. The manor as we know it today was build in 1490. But excavations have revealed evidence of earlier constructions also mentioned in texts under the name Essendrup dating back to 1340. The construction of Gammel Estrup was started by the contentious Lave Brock. But it was his great-grandson, Eske Brock who most people today think of in connection with the manor.

Rougsø Municipality
Until January 1, 2007 Rougsø municipality was a municipality in the former Aarhus County on the east coast of the Jutland peninsula in central Denmark. It covered an area of 224 km², and had a total population of 8.078 (2005). Its last mayor was Torben Jensen. The site of its municipal council was Allingåbro. Other towns in the municipality were Gjesing, Holbæk, Nørager, Vivild, and Ørsted. Rougsø municipality ceased to exist due to Kommunalreformen ("The Municipality Reform" of 2007).

Rosenholm Castle
Rosenholm Castle is Denmark's oldest family-owned castle, and is one of the best-preserved complexes from the golden age of the manor house – from 1550 to 1630. Rosenholm Castle is founded in 1559 by the Danish nobleman Jørgen "George" Rosenkrantz. His family are among the oldest and most famous in the Danish history. Shakespeare chose to use the name in the play Hamlet. Later extended, standing complete in 1607 with four wings, clearly influenced by the Italian Renaissance style.
