Give (Denmark)

Give is a railway town with a population of 4,501 (1 January 2012) in Denmark near Vejle. As a result of "The Municipal Reform" of 2007 Give Municipality was absorbed into Vejle Municipality. Give has a nice historical museum about the surrounding area and life in Denmark in general. The railway town used to be the last stop going west from Vejle. Later the rails would be continued to the west. The museum is welcoming and a must see for all of those interested in Danish culture.

Give Municipality

Until January 1, 2007, Give municipality is a municipality in Vejle County on the Jutland peninsula in southeast Denmark. The municipality covered an area of 403 km², and had a total population of 14,090 (2005). Its last mayor was Villy Dahl Johansen. The main town and the site of its municipal council was the town of Give.

Grindsted with a population of 9,565 (1 January 2012) was the site of the municipal council of now abolished Grindsted Municipality, Denmark. Today Grindsted is the municipal seat and largest town of Billund Municipality.

Grindsted Municipality

Until January 1, 2007, Grindsted municipality was a municipality in Ribe County on the Jutland Peninsula in south-west Denmark. The municipality covered an area of 382 km², and had a total population of 17,379 (2005). Its latest mayor was Ib Kristensen, a member of the Venstre (Liberal Party) political party. The site of its municipal council was the town of Grindsted. The municipality's motto was "Grindsted - Vi har det hele" which means "Grindsted - We have it all".
