Beder, Denmark

Beder is a town with a population of 4,350 (1 January 2011) in Jutland in Denmark. The town is typically referenced as the Beder-Malling area since the towns of Beder and Malling - population 3,538 (2011) - are situated in the same area and are practically one town. Beder-Malling is located in the southernmost part of Århus Municipality bordering the Kattegat.

Odder Municipality

Odder municipality is a municipality in Region Midtjylland on the east coast of the Jutland peninsula in central Denmark just south of Aarhus and is a part of the greater Aarhus area. The municipality includes the islands of Alrø and Tunø, and covers an area of 225 km². It has a total population of 21,562 (2008). The current mayor is Elvin J. Hansen of the Social Democrats. The main town and the site of its municipal council is the town of Odder.

Mårslet

Mårslet is a village in Eastern Jutland, Denmark. Politically it is part of the Central Jutland Region and Århus Municipality. By some definitions it may therefore be considered a suburb of Aarhus. It has a population of 4,481 (1 January 2011). Mårslet is situated on Odderbanen, the railway line between Odder and Århus, and the resulting short journey time to these urban centres has been an important factor in the town's development since the opening of the line in 1884.

Odder

Odder is a town in the Odder municipality, just south of Aarhus, and in Region Midtjylland. Some say Odder is a satellite town of Aarhus today and with a population of 11,375 (1 January 2011). In the 1980s, the town was host to Edelweiss, the biggest discothèque in Denmark. The municipality is in the East Jutland metropolitan area, with 1.2 million inhabitants. In 2006, the chain of office (necklace) of the borgmester (mayor) of Odder was daringly stolen from the mayoral briefcase.
