Aggersund

Aggersund is a town and harbour with a population of 354 (1 January 2012) in the Himmerland region of the Jutland peninsula of Denmark. At Aggersund HVDC Cross-Skagerak crosses the strait of same name on 70 metres tall pylons. Aggersborg, the largest of Denmark's former Viking ring castles, is located near Aggersund.

Aggersborg

Aggersborg is the largest of Denmark's former Viking ring castles, and one of the largest archeological sites in Denmark. It is located near Aggersund on the north side of the Limfjord. It consisted of a circular rampart surrounded by a ditch. Four main roads arranged in a cross connected the castle centre with the outer ring. The roads were tunnelled under the outer rampart, leaving the circular structure intact. The ring castle had an inner diameter of 240 metres.

Løgstør

Løgstør is a town with a population of 4,300 (1 January 2012) and a former municipality in Region Nordjylland on the Jutland Peninsula in northern Denmark. The municipality, including the island of Livø, covered an area of 218 km, and had a total population of 10,270 (2005). Its last mayor was Jens Lauritzen, a member of the Venstre (Liberal Party) political party. A bridge connects the former municipality near Tolstrup to the town of Aggersund on the far side of the Agger Strait.

Limfjordsskolen

Limfjordsskolen is a boarding school for 16 to 19 years old men and women with learning disabilities and other difficulties. It is situated in the town of Løgstør, Denmark. The school was founded in 1969 by the Danish state. 42 pupils stay at the school for a normally three year special education in specific subjects (arts, nature, health, waterlife, theatre) combined with a general curriculum (environment, culture, society et al.).
