Sulsted

Sulsted is a small Danish town with a population of 1,543 (1 January 2012) in northern Jutland, just north of Aalborg. Sulsted Church was constructed c. 1150-1200 http://www. dist. dk/~lf/middelalder/Stil. HTML and features a large number of frescos, all created in 1548 by Hans Maler from Randers.

Lindholm Høje

Lindholm Høje (Lindholm Hills, from Old Norse haugr, hill or mound) is a major Viking burial site and former settlement situated to the north of and overlooking the city of Aalborg in Denmark. The southern (lower) part of Lindholm Høje dates to 1000 – 1050 AD, the Viking Age, while the northern (higher) part is significantly earlier, dating back to the 5th century AD.

Aalborghus

Aalborghus Castle or Aalborghus Slot is a castle in Aalborg, Denmark. It is a half-timbered (bindingsværk) castle built by King Christian III from 1539 to around 1555 initially as a fortification. Soon it became the seat of the king's provincial governors in Northern Jutland, and after the introduction of absolutism, became used by the State County of Northern Jutland for taxes. A building had pre-existed at the site before Christian III's castle.

Aalborg

Aalborg (or Ålborg) is a Danish industrial and university city in North Jutland. The city of Aalborg has a population of 104,885 making it the fourth largest city in Denmark in terms of population. The municipality of Aalborg has a population of 201,142 (2012) making it the third most populous municipality in the country after Copenhagen and Århus. The earliest settlements date back to around AD 700.
