Højer

Højer, is a town with a population of 1,213 (1 January 2012) and a former municipality in south Denmark, in Region of Southern Denmark on the west coast of the Jutland peninsula. The municipality covered an area of 117 km², and had a total population of 2,861 (2005). Its last mayor was Peter Christensen, a member of the Social Democrats (Socialdemokraterne) political party. The coastal area of the former municipality is a nature reserve.

Møgeltønder

Møgeltønder is a small town with a population of 858 (1 January 2012), located in Møgeltønder Parish and Tønder Municipality in the southwestern corner of the Danish peninsula of Jutland 5 kilometers north of the Danish-German border and 4 kilometer west of Tønder. Møgeltønder is known for the royal residence of Schackenborg Castle the home of the Danish Queen Margrethe II and Prince Henrik's younger son Prince Joachim.

Bredebro

Bredebro is a town with a population of 1,464 (1 January 2012) in Region of Southern Denmark in Denmark on the Jutland peninsula. The town was the original home of the ECCO shoe manufacturing company. Until January 1, 2007, Bredebro was also a municipality. The municipality covered an area of 151 km², and had a total population of 3,680 (2005). Its last mayor was Vagn Therkel Pedersen, a member of the Venstre (Liberal Party) political party.

Schackenborg Castle

Schackenborg Castle is a royal residence of the Danish monarch located in Møgeltønder, Southern Jutland. Originally called Møgeltønderhus (Møgeltønder House) the former stronghold on the site was the property of the Roman Catholic bishops of Ribe. It served as protection against the Frisians in the south, and guarded the waterway that joined Vidå to Tønder. During the Reformation in Denmark the mansion was confiscated from the Church by the Danish crown.

Jordsand

Jordsand was a small Danish hallig located in the Wadden Sea southeast of the Danish island Rømø and east of the German island Sylt. The island was first known by the name Hiortsand ('deer island') and was possibly connected to both the mainland and the island of Sylt. The old name refers to the presence of deer on the island. Records from 1231 describe the island as having a size equivalent of 20 km². It contained numerous terps. The island was destroyed in a series of storm tides.
