Pyhäjärvi (Tampere region)
Pyhäjärvi is a lake in southern Finland. Although the name means in modern Finnish "holy lake", it probably meant originally "border lake". Pyhäjärvi is shaped like the letter "C" with the cities of Tampere and Nokia on the northern end, and town of Lempäälä at the southern end. The lake is fed by the water running through the Tammerkoski rapids in the center of Tampere in the north, and by the waters from lake Vanajavesi in the south.

Pyynikin Kesäteatteri (Pyynikki Summer Theatre) is an open-air theatre operating in Tampere, Finland, known especially for its revolving auditorium. It is one of the largest summer theatres in Finland and has been running uninterrupted longer than any other open-air theatre in the country. The theatre was founded in 1948 and was originally named Tampereen Kesäteatteri (Tampere Summer Theatre).

Sauna Open Air Metal Festival
Sauna Open Air Metal Festival, shortly Sauna Open Air or just Sauna, has become one of the largest music festivals dedicated only to metal and related styles of music in the Nordic countries. It was first arranged in 2004 and takes place in the Ratinanniemi park in Tampere, Finland. On June 8–10 in 2006, over 20,000 metalheads arrived to watch such bands as Cradle of Filth, Finntroll, Iggy & The Stooges, Lordi, Twisted Sister and W.A.S.P..

Moomin Museum
Moomin Valley (Moomin museum) is situated in the city of Tampere, Finland. In the Moomin Valley Museum you can see original illustrations made by Tove Jansson (the creator of Moomins), 40 miniatures, tableaux about Moomin events and a small (2.5 metres high) Moomin House. There is a total of about 2,000 exhibits on display. You can also see the original Moomin Valley multimedia and visit the Moomin Valley shop which sells gift items and Moomin books in many languages.

Battle of Tampere
The Battle of Tampere of the Finnish Civil War was fought in Finland in 1918 between Red and White forces. The White forces besieged and captured the main city of the Red Guards, Tampere, taking around 10,000 Red prisoners. The battle was decisive, and soon afterwards the war was over.
