Näsijärvi
Näsijärvi is a lake 95 metres above sea level, in Pirkanmaa region, Finland. Näsijärvi is the biggest lake in the Tampere region at 256 square kilometres in size. The city of Tampere was built around the rapids of Tammerkoski, through which the lake drains into Pyhäjärvi. The water quality of the lake has improved as forest industry has decreased the amount of waste water. There are boat cruising services on Näsijärvi.

Lielahti
Lielahti (Lielax in Swedish) is a suburb in the city of Tampere (Tammerfors), Finland with important industrial and commercial facilities. Lielahti was annexed to the city in 1950 from Ylöjärvi parish. Lielahti lies about 7 kilometres west from the city centre. Särkänniemi is an amusement park in Tampere, Finland. The park features an aquarium, a planetarium, a children's zoo, an art museum, an observation tower, an amusement park, and the world's northernmost dolphinarium. Särkänniemi is the second most popular amusement park in Finland, after Linnanmaki in Helsinki. Särkänniemi has six rollercoasters: inverted coaster Tornado, flying coaster Trombi, MotoGee, Jet Star, Half Pipe, and family coaster Vauhtimato ("Speedy Worm").

Half Pipe (roller coaster)
Half Pipe is a steel launched shuttle roller coaster located at both Elitch Gardens in Denver, Colorado and at Särkänniemi in Tampere, Finland. The structure is 100 feet in height and consists of 230 feet of track. The ride is currently the only ride of its type offered in the United States. Riders are placed in one of two cars on the train which is made to resemble a giant skateboard. Each car is a free-spinning circle that holds eight people.
