Tikkakoski

Tikkakoski is a neighbourhood of Jyväskylä, Finland, about 20 kilometres north of the city centre. It has a population of 6,000. The Jyväskylä Airport, Aviation Museum of Central Finland, and a Finnish Air Force base, with the FAF Headquarters, the Finnish Air Force Academy, and the C4I Materiel Command, are all located in Tikkakoski.

Tikkakoski secondary school

Tikkakoski secondary school (Tikkakosken koulu) is school in Tikkakoski, Jyväskylä, Finland. The school has about 350 pupils. It was built in 1938 in Suojärvi, but it had to be disbanded the next year because of the Winter War. The school moved to Tikkakoski in 1944 where it remains.

Jyväskylän maalaiskunta

Jyväskylän maalaiskunta, 'The Rural Municipality of Jyväskylä' is a former municipality of Finland. Together with Korpilahti, Jyväskylän maalaiskunta was consolidated with Jyväskylä on January 1, 2009. It was the last municipality to carry the name maalaiskunta. Jyväskylän maalaiskunta had three population centres: Vaajakoski, Tikkakoski and Palokka. Jyväskylä Airport in Tikkakoski is one of the busiest in Finland. On September 1, 2008 Jyväskylän maalaiskunta had 36,389 inhabitants.
