Jasmund

Jasmund is a peninsula of the island of Rügen in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Germany. It is connected to the Wittow peninsula and to the Muttland main section of Rügen by the narrow land bridges Schaabe and Schmale Heide, respectively. Sassnitz, Sagard and the Mukran international ferry terminal are on Jasmund. Jasmund is also famous for the Stubbenkammer chalk cliffs within the Jasmund National Park, a nature reserve in the northeast of Rügen island.

Stubnitz

The Stubnitz is a hilly, forested landscape region on the east coast of the Jasmund peninsula on the German Baltic Sea island of Rügen. It covers an area of about 2,400 ha and runs from the town of Sassnitz to the municipality of Lohme, Today, it is almost entirely part of the 3,000 ha Jasmund National Park.

HMS Otus (S18)

HMS Otus was a Royal Navy Oberon-class submarine launched in 1962. She was decommissioned in the early 1990s and is now a naval museum in Germany.

Sassnitz Wildlife Park

Sassnitz Wildlife Park is a wildlife park in the borough of Sassnitz on the German Baltic Sea island of Rügen. The park is open all-year round and covers an area of 2.5 hectares on the edge of the town of Sassnitz. About 250 animals of 60 species are kept in the park. These are predominantly native animals, but there are several exotic species as well. Sassnitz Wildlife Park is the only park of its kind on Germany's largest island. In 2001 it received 27,000 visitors.

Great Dolmen of Dwasieden

The Great dolmen of Dwasieden (German: Großdolmen von Dwasieden), is a great dolmen in the borough of Sassnitz, on the Jasmund peninsula of Germany's largest island, Rügen. It was excavated in 1970 by Ewald Schuldt and is designated a Sprockhoff No. 472. The megalithic site of the Funnelbeaker culture (TBK) was constructed between 3500 and 2800 B.  C. According to Ingrid Schmidt, "Neolithic monuments are an expression of the culture and ideology of New Stone Age communities.
